Macuto
& the East Coast
|
|
 |
Left: Colonial style
buildings in Macuto. In January 2000 massive mudslides destroyed most of
Macuto. Maybe these buildings don't exist anymore. |
| Right:
The main corridor of the Hotel Madrid in Barcelona. A complete dump -
but with the most comfortable beds in South America - sometimes appearances
can be deceptive! |

Here are a few views
of the beach and wildlife in Santa Fe - part of Mochima National Park.
We spent a very relaxing few days here.

Cumana is one of
the oldest towns on the continent. A very colourful place with a well
restored old town centre.

Rio Caribe was the
furthest east we travelled. Not many tourists reach here. The village
is mainly concerned with fishing.
